At Yobe State University, Damaturu, Dr. Aliyu has held various leadership positions, including Deputy Director Centre for Research and capacity development on humanitarian studies (CRCDHS), Secretary, Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Director of the School of Pre-Degree Studies and membership in several committees. He has authored and published articles in reputable journals, serves on editorial boards, and holds numerous professional certificates.
With a background spanning private and public sectors, Dr. Aliyu has worked as a stockbroker and lecturer, holding key academic and administrative roles. He is a regular participant in local and international conferences, workshops, and seminars.
As DG of YAPPPIP, Dr. Aliyu has spearheaded initiatives and reforms in investments, legal frameworks, and institutional development. He is dedicated to community service, passionate about positively impacting humanity, and founded the Isah Chikaji Foundation, which has touched hundreds of thousands of lives. Dr. Aliyu is happily married with three children.
